With perfect slope conditions and glorious weather, the “longest ski race in the world” took place on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Nassfeld in Carinthia. Around 600 amateur athletes and numerous celebrities set out on the hunt for the legendary “Nassfeld Trophy” under the motto “Schlag das ASS”. The name derives from former ski star and TV presenter Armin Assinger, who is the initiator of the race.

Of course, Alturos Destinations was at the start with its own team – Skiline Race Team. Six colleagues (Michael Saringer, Gilberto Loacker, Christian Mairitsch, Herwig Probst, Patrick Klavora, Christoph Warmuth & Stefan Winter) and some external friends set out to master the nine main slopes of varying difficulty levels.

Stefan Winter, who reached the finish line after 00:54:20.8 and was duly received by a cheering crowd of spectators, ensured the best placing for the company. He finished 36th in the overall standings.

After the race, our colleagues did not miss the opportunity to pay a visit to the numerous Skiline installation (including Speedcheck, parallel slalom, giant slalom) at Nassfeld. Also, the two, fully automatic Phototraps at the Funslope built shortly before this season were tested.
