Grandvalira (Andorra), one of the 30 largest ski destinations of the world, is using Skiline installations (Speedcheck & Photopoint) from Alturos Destinations as of next winter season.
Pfäffikon/Klagenfurt/Andorra. With the Andorran ski destination Grandvalira, Alturos Destinations gains a new customer and is able to take root in another country. Thereby, the 2002 founded company can expand its position as market leader of digital entertainment in winter sports and meanwhile serves 260 customers in 14 countries.
Grandvalira, which welcomes more than a million guests per year, will entertain them perfectly with Skiline installations in the future. With the innovative products Speedcheck & Photopoint, emotional experiences are staged on the slope. At the Speedckeck the skiers will be eager to achieve the maximum speed on the specially secured slope. As a souvenir, skiers can retrieve a photo with their top speed through the Skiline online portal or at the terminal. With the Skiline-Photopoint a high-quality picture, that is only retrievable online through the ski ticket number, is taken via the latest reflector technology – the privacy of the customers is secured.
Tourism and especially winter sports are the most important economic factor for the Principality of Andorra, located in Pyrenees mountains. Grandvalira is one of the 30 largest ski destinations in the world and has 128 slopes with a total length of 210 km. With their number of skier days per season, the destination occupies the 15th place among 2000 resorts worldwide.
Skiline CEO Daniel Wakounig: “Due to the spectacular pictures, guests will remember their stay for a long time and can share the experiences with their friends via social media channels.” Thereby, additional value is created. For Grandvalira the new attractions are the consequent implementation of the joint digitalization strategy. Therefore, completely new opportunities for targeted communication and the marketing of offers to existing customers arise.
